Astronomical Watch

The Midnight Planétarium is an incredible feat of engineering, design and artistic craftsmanship. Besides showing the time, this watch also accurately displays the movement of 6 planets in our solar system as they orbit the Sun.

Each of those 6 planets are represented by a precious or semiprecious stone selected to represent that planet’s color – serpentine for Mercury, chloromelanite for Venus, turquoise for Earth, red jasper for Mars, blue agate for Jupiter and sugilite for Saturn. The two other planets in our solar system were excluded because the lengths of their orbits would make their movements on the watch imperceptible and impractical – Uranus orbits the sun in 84 Earth years and Neptune makes the trip in 164.

The watch took 396 pieces and 3 whole years of work to complete so, along with the precious stones dotting its surface, the $245,000 price tag comes as no surprise. However, one can always dream!

The watch was presented to the public in Geneva at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogeri by the Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry and perfume company in partnership with Dutch watchmaker Christiaan van der Klaauw, who has been creating watches and clocks since the 1970s.

Espadrilles Chanel

This is not a specific trend, it’s not new, but apparently it came to stay. Clearly Sir Lagerfeld made another piece of gold. Girls all over the world are using and not only on summer, but there are looks for all the four seasons. Being honest I wasn’t a big fan of this new trend, but my mom was crazy for a pair, so I went to thousands of Chanel stores trying to find it, and one day, we succeeded. I was curious, everyone was buying it, so I tried it out. Oh My, it was just like heaven, I felt like I belonged with those shoes. Well, it was a little expensive so I couldn’t buy it, but my mom did, and she wears it all the time, so there is no age or season limit, create and adventure yourself with this pair of glorious shoes.

Cruciani was created in 1992 by Luca Caprai with the precise aim of conveying his values and family culture through a message of excellence.

Its objective is to achieve production of garments that meet the needs and demands of all markets whilst maintaining the highest possible levels of craftsmanship and quality.

Luca Caprai’s vision is that of developing desires and giving them tangible form. A Cruciani product cannot but be made entirely in Italy and represent the best of a traditional heritage, the state of an art in continual evolution. Two requisites that plainly cannot be met outside Italy.

The Cruciani brand is now perceived as different and distinctive. The name of Cruciani not only evokes the work done by a company but a new art de vivre, a cosmopolitan attitude and an elegance in which rules are creatively décontracté.

The product is young, casual and sophisticated. It’s pleasing to wear and has the timeless, universal quality of truly inspired design.

The same vision has brought to the creation of the new Cruciani C line, which became all the rage last summer in Forte dei Marmi and is now a must in Italy and all over the world.

Coco Hat

Dungarees have been making a huge comeback for a couple years now — if you haven’t gotten on board yet, now’s your chance. Some of you may find it difficult to reinstate this 80s & 90s trend back into your wardrobe, but I’m here to help. Not only is this vintage fad insanely comfortable, it’s also practical and stylish — two outfit components we’re usually forced to choose between. Similar to the jumpsuit trend, dungarees can be one of the fastest & easiest ensembles to throw together.

Although dungarees are a relatively simple item, they can be a little tricky to execute correctly. One wrong turn and they can instantly transform you into a farmer, clown, or 5 year-old. It’s also imperative to find the right fit to ensure that they’re as flattering as possible. To achieve this, avoid pairing your dungarees with flannel shirts, busy prints like polka dots, spaghetti strap tanks (just avoid those altogether please). Instead, opt for simple striped tops, chic blouses, and basic tees. Lastly, make sure to stay away from other statement pieces like trendy hats and tons of jewelry — this would be way too much, not to mention totally take away from your dungarees.

Another issue with this trend is tracking down a cute pair. I’m usually a huge fan of thrift stores, but chances are, you won’t be able to find a pair at Goodwill that won’t swallow you up. Check out these more stylish, modern options — they’re even organized to fit your price point!
