Favourite Rom-Coms

The weekend is almost here, we can almost touch it. And I was thinking what is the best way to spend a weekend in cold weather? The classic MWP: Movie, Wine and Popcorn. I selected 6 of my favourite romantic comedies of all times to inspire you on your movie selection for the weekend. I hope you like it.

Sleepless in Seattle: I will start by saying that I LOVE Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks together, they have an absolute great chemistry. She is amazing, all of her movies are amazing! Sleepless in Seattle is one of my favourite ones! I don’t want to give up anything, so, just watch it and you will see what I am talking about.

Stuck in Love: It is a movie about “an acclaimed writer, his ex-wife, and their teenaged children come to terms with the complexities of love in all its forms over the course of one tumultuous year”. It is soul touching, makes you reflect on your life and the best way to live it.

Under the Tuscan Sun: Lovely movie, very funny with a  beautiful Italian photography. The movie is about a literature critique and writer that is going through a harsh divorce, her best friend Patti offers her a vacation, on a gay tour of Tuscany. The gift is a means to escape dealing with the divorce. Frances, while in Tuscany, impulsively ditches the tour to purchase an aged villa, which ends up being a fixer-upper.

Clueless: This is an ageless movie. My mother loved this movie, I love this movie and my sister loves it too. For the clueless people who’ve never seen this movie or even heard about it, here is a synopsis: “Cher, a high school student in Beverly Hills, must survive the ups and downs of adolescent life. Her external demeanour at first seems superficial, but rather it hides her wit, charm, and intelligence which help her to deal with relationships, friends, family, school, and the all-important teenage social life.”

Something’s Gotta Give: Harry Sanborn is an aged music industry exec with a fondness for younger women like Marin, his latest trophy girlfriend. Things get a little awkward when Harry suffers a heart attack at the home of Marin’s mother Erica. Left in the care of Erica and his doctor, a love triangle starts to take shape. This movie is PURE comedy, I laughed so much. It is a perfect combination of romance and comedy.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona: One of my favourite movies of all times. Two best friends go on a summer vacation to Barcelona and they encounter this hot AF, and they both became enamoured with the painter, unaware that his ex-wife, with whom he has a tempestuous relationship, is about to re-enter the picture. Best movie ever.

Bar Cart

Lately I have been obsessed with home decor and one of the things that I noticed that makes a huge difference is a bar cart. Probably the fact that I am turning 22 next month makes me even more crazy about this, for a young adult like me, there is nothing more adult than having your own bar cart.

Now that I am starting my adult life, being all “bachelor Mondays”, “game nights” and this kind of shit I have to say that a bar cart is perfect for all situations specially when you have guests. If you have guests often, this is absolutely for you and if you don’t, you should be able to enjoy a nice cocktail after a long day! So there is no excuse for not having this blessing of the skies in your home.

It is important to know you shit before trying to built a bar cart from scratch. So head in Pinterest and look for inspirations and see what other people are using. And than you can find your own style and customize things.

Here is a beautifully thought check list for you. (you can click on the names to buy the ones I selected)

1. a bar cart… obviously duh.

2. glasses (wine, coupe, champagne, cocktail)

3. cute paper straws

4. Moscow mule copper mugs

5. bottle opener

One Book A Month

Hello Readers! Since I am a law student I get tired of reading things ALL THE TIME, so when I have time to relax I just want to watch silly tv shows aka the bachelor! But I was feeling like I needed to change this and challenge myself to read more.

Soooo one of my New Year’s Resolutions is to read one book a month. It is a great way to keep you literature up to date and still read some amazing stories.

I made a list of a few books I will definitely add to my book list. I’ve haven’t read them yet, because it’s February of course, duhhh. But I am the kind of person that likes to jump into things without a clue of whats going on. I hate to read the descriptions, I think they share too much information on what could be a mystery at first.

I will share my GoodReads account so you can see what I am currently reading! You can click on the names below to shop the books.

The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden

Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng

The Keeper of Lost Things by Ruth Hogan

The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin

Into The Water by Paula Hawkins

Have you guys read any of these books? If soo comment below what you thought of it.. No Spoilers pleaseee lol.
