I wanna be yours
I wanna be your vacuum cleaner
Breathing in your dust
I wanna be your Morris Marina
I will never rust
If you like your coffee hot
Let me be your coffee pot
You call the shots
I wanna be your
Let me be your raincoat
For those frequent rainy days
Let me be your dreamboat
For when you want to sail away
Let me be your teddy bear
Take me with you anywhere
I don’t care
I wanna be yours
Let me be you electric meter
I will not run out
Let me be the electric heater
You get pneumonia without
Let me be your setting lotion
Grip your skull with deep devotion
Deep as the deep Atlantic ocean
That’s how deep is my devotion
Deep deep deep
Deep deep deep
I don’t hanna be hers, I wanna be yours.

Who the Fuck Are Arctic Monkeys?

This is probably something that people who read my blog does not expect, but as you can see in the last post I’m trying a few things out. Well. Who the fuck are Arctic Monkeys?

They are simply the ultimate aphrodisiac on the miserable teenage life the lots live in. They push you on the right spot with their new album (AM), it is literally aphrodisiac, you really want to have sex when you hear some of their songs, they are so sexy and dark it’s amazing.

But I still haven’t explained who they are. They are an english indie rock band formed in 2002 in High Green, a suburb of Sheffield. The band consists of Alex Turner, Jamie Cook, Nick O’Malley and Matt Helders. Former member Andy Nicholson left the band in 2006 shortly after its debut album was released.

The band have released five studio albums: Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not (2006), Favourite Worst Nightmare (2007), Humbug (2009), Suck It and See (2011) and AM (2013), as well as one live album At the Apollo (2008).

Upon the release of AM on 9 September 2013, the album debuted at number 1 in the UK album charts, selling over 157,000 copies in its first week. As a result, Arctic Monkeys made history as the first independent label band with five consecutive number 1 albums in the UK. The album received widespread critical acclaim and brought Arctic Monkeys their third nomination for the Mercury Prize. The album also won the Brit award for Best British Album.

Alex Turner described AM as the band’s “most original [album] yet,” merging hip-hop drum beats with 70’s heavy rock. The frontman has said that the song “Arabella” expresses the two styles of the album most effectively in one track. On AM, Turner continued to experiment with unusual lyrics, and the album includes the words from poem “I Wanna Be Yours” by John Cooper Clarke. Turner has stated that Homme’s appearance on the song “Knee Socks” marks his favourite moment of the whole album.

As you can see, they rock, and they are worthy of their success. They are coming to Brazil in the end of the year and unfortunately I won’t be here to watch them. But you can check their gigs on the link (here) and see if they are having a gig on your country/city. I swear you definitely won’t be disappointed by their sound.
